The Senate Minority Whip, Senator Osita Ngwu, on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency Yu Dunhai, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, at the Chinese Embassy in Abuja.
During the visit, Senator Ngwu expressed his profound appreciation to the Ambassador for being a true friend of Enugu West and for the numerous fully sponsored Chinese training programs extended to his constituents. He noted that the knowledge and skills acquired from these programs would go a long way in reshaping perspectives and improving livelihoods across Enugu West Senatorial Zone.
In his remarks, Ambassador Yu Dunhai commended Senator Ngwu for his leadership and commitment to people-oriented development. He emphasized the shared values and common aspirations between Nigeria and China, expressing optimism that Nigeria would soon attain greater heights in its developmental journey.
The Ambassador also lauded the 10th National Assembly, through the support of the Senate Minority Whip, for its continuous efforts in fostering stronger diplomatic and economic relations between both nations.
The visit further cemented the mutual friendship and cooperation between Nigeria and China, particularly in the areas of human capital development and cultural exchange.
