Umuahia was agog with pageantry and solemn reflection as prominent businessman and media mogul, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, fondly known as Don Lulu, laid his beloved mother, Dame Peace Onyekwulechi Igbokwe, to rest in his hometown of Umuawa Alaocha, Ohuhu, Umuahia North Local Government Area.
The burial ceremony attracted an impressive gathering of Nigeria’s crème de la crème, cutting across business leaders, top politicians, government officials, entertainers, celebrated artistes and music stars, all of whom converged to commiserate with the CEO of Don Media Group and the entire Igbokwe family.
The event was marked deep emotions, heartfelt tributes and an outpouring of love, reflecting the high esteem in which Dame Peace was held and the wide network of goodwill Don Lulu has built over the years. Indeed, Umuahia witnessed not just a burial, but a celebration of a life well lived and a testament to enduring legacy.
