Stakeholders from Umuahia South/North on Sunday presented a nomination and declaration of interest form for the speaker of Abia House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, urging him to contest the 2023 federal house of representatives election.
Presenting the form Evangelist Emeka Inyama said, Rt.Hon. Orji, has led the ABHA well in his capacity as the speaker and deserves to move on to the federal level to represent the constituency and the state at a higher level.
While handing over the form to the speaker Hon. Barr. Jerry Uzosike, member representing Umuahia South in the Abia House Of Assembly told the speaker that this is a call for him to continue to speak for the good people of Ikwuano/Umuahia.
In his response, while accepting the form Rt. Hon. Orji, thanked the Stakeholders of Ikwuano/Umuahia for the confidence reposed in him and promised to revert back to them within the next 48hrs after due consultation with relevant stake holders.
