The Ukwa La Ngwa Socio-Cultural Group, comprising nine of the seventeen local government areas in Abia State, paid a solidarity visit to Chief Obinna Oriaku (Ekwedike) at his country home in Owerrinta.
Leading the delegation, Elder Ogechi Chile stated that the visit was to express solidarity with Chief Oriaku following the recent developments in Abuja, where his name was reportedly substituted despite Senate clearance. The group assured him of their unwavering support, noting that Ukwa La Ngwa stands firmly with Chief Oriaku, who has distinguished himself as a strong voice of the opposition in Abia State.
They offered prayers for God’s continued guidance and protection upon him, expressing confidence that God has greater plans ahead for Chief Oriaku.
The delegation also prayed for the restoration and repositioning of Ukwa La Ngwa land in view of the current unpalatable political situation in Abia State.
Furthermore, they emphasized their collective resolve to put behind them the disappointments of 2023 and work diligently towards a more promising 2027.

Okey Ogbonna, and Hon. Patrick Onwuka.
