A royal father HRH Eze Cyril Ejim, the Kparo 1 of Umukparo, Mbala Isuochi in Umuneochi LGA has blessed and endorsed the Ikonne/Igwe Governorship ticket and enjoined all to support the election of Professor Eleazar Uche Ikonne as the next Governor of Abia State.
Eze Cyril Ejim was speaking at his Iwaji festival held recently in his palace at Mbala Isuochi in Umuneochi LGA. He used the opportunity to charge his subjects to take advantage of the unique opportunity offered to old Isuikwuato District to provide the first ever Deputy Governor in the State by electing Prof. Uche Ikonne in the next year’s election.
In his speech at the Iwaji festival,
the PDP Deputy Governorship candidate in the 2023 election in Abia State and son of the old Isuikwuato District, Barr. Okey Igwe saluted the royal father for his commitment in agriculture and described agriculture as the main stay of the economy. He assured that the incoming administration of Prof. Uche Ikonne would prioritize agriculture.
The Deputy Governorship candidate charged the people to continue observing farming as a veritable path to reviving the lost culture of subsistence farming the State was known for.
