The Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Abia State Prof. Eleazar Uche Ikonne has congratulated the eminent Abians who were among notable Nigerians recently listed for National Honours by the President and commander in chief of the armed forces, Muhammadu Buhari.
According to a released by Uche Aguoru the director of media and publicity, Uche Ndi Abia Campaign Organization. Prof Ikonne, described them as great citizens of Abia State who had made Abia and the nation proud by excelling in their various fields of endeavour.
The 2023 Governorship hopeful said Abia is an important component of Nigeria, blessed with enormous human and material resources thus his rationale for proposing a PARTICIPATORY GOVERNANCE structure where all Abians will be part of governance and will contribute ideas and resources towards his vision of achieving a greater Abia state where every citizen will be prosperous.
He congratulated them for being outstanding and described the award as a reward for hard work, dedication, and excellent service to their fatherland.
