PDP Is On Course And Intact No Cause For Alarm – Chief Utah.

A stalwart of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) H\Chief Okechi Utah has called on the members across the state to remain calm as the party is still intact.

In an interview with Newsmen in Umuahia, Chief Utah who was reacting to the gale of defections that hit the PDP in Abia state, said, that democracy allows people the freedom to choose whichever political party they choose to belong to.

He noted that despite the loss by the Party at the last election the PDP is still intact and remains the largest party in the state so a handful of people leaving the party will not heavily impact the party’s fortunes.

He stated that the party is going through a period of reformation and that such occurrences are normal because not every politician will be patient enough or join hands with the party leadership both at the national and state to rebuild.

He expressed regrets over the attitude of some people who had benefitted so much from the party in the past and could not understand why they were in a hurry to leave the party.

The former Umuahia North deputy council boss urged the party faithful to remain focused and committed because very soon the party would bounce back bigger and stronger.
