The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmen in the 17 Local Government Areas in the State have been urged to take the campaign of the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Prof. Eleazar Uche Ikonne to the grassroots.
The PDP Deputy Governorship candidate, Barrister Okey Igwe gave the charge while receiving in his Umuahia residence, the PDP Chairmen in the 17 Local Government Areas of the State who paid him a solidarity visit.
Barr. Igwe urged the party leaders to go back to their respective LGAs and instil party discipline. He stressed the need for them to eschew all temptations of engaging in any form of anti party activities. The PDP Deputy Governorship candidate assured them that the Ikonne administration would turn Abia around when elected next year. He maintained that the forthcoming PDP led government in the State would ensure the general welfare of all Abians and the residents.
The PDP Chairmen in the 17 Local Government Areas pledged their loyalty and commitment to the campaigns and election of Prof. Uche Ikonne. They said they would massively mobilize electorates for the realization of the Ikonne/Igwe project.
