Onyinye Ohuhu Clinches APGA Ticket, Outlines Developmental Vision For Umuahia North

High Chief Raymond Onyinyechi Ofoegbu has won the Chairmanship Candidate position for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the Umuahia North Local Government Area Council election. The primary election, held on Thursday, saw H/Chief Ofoegbu securing a decisive win, making him the party’s candidate for the upcoming council polls.

In his acceptance speech, the United States-based Nurse Practitioner, retired Nigerian immigration officer and president of Onyinye Ohuhu Foundation thanked party leaders and supporters for their confidence in him. He outlined his vision for Umuahia North, emphasizing plans for infrastructural development, enhanced healthcare services, and improved educational facilities. He also pledged to focus on economic empowerment and youth engagement as key components of his agenda.

Ofoegbu called on the Umuahia North electorate to vote for progressive-minded leaders whose vision and mission will be about the welfare of the people, rather than those who will only serve the interest of their godfathers.

Onyinye Ohuhu asked his supporters not to entertain any fear but to go ahead and campaign, urging the people to vote for him. He insisted that he would fight any attempt to manipulate the election against the wish of the people. He mentioned that many political parties approached him to run under their platform, but he chose APGA because it is a grassroots-oriented party whose vision aligns with his mission.

With the local government elections scheduled to be held soon across the 17 local government areas of the state, political activities in the state are gaining momentum.
