The Ndi Eze Ohuhu on Tuesday honoured the Chief Executive Officer of Strides Energy and maritime Ltd. Chief Moritz Abazie, alongside his wife, Dr. Mrs Abazie, with the chieftaincy title of Ebube Mba, Ohuhu.
The well-attended ceremony took place at the palace of His Royal Majesty, Eze Charles Ngwuli, Chairman of the Ohuhu Council of Traditional Rulers. The royal fathers eulogised Chief Abazie as a man of exceptional philanthropy who deploys his resources to uplift the poor and advance societal development, noting that the honour was richly deserved.
They urged him to sustain his humanitarian efforts, which include sponsoring education for the less privileged, youth empowerment, support for families in need, provision of decent shelter, and other community development initiatives. Prayers were offered for divine guidance, expansion, and greater blessings upon him and his family.
In his response, Chief Abazie expressed profound gratitude to the royal fathers for the honour, pledging to remain steadfast in supporting society. He called for peace and harmony within the Ohuhu clan and promised continued support for initiatives aimed at the development of Ohuhu, while reaffirming his readiness to assist the traditional institution whenever called upon.
The event attracted notable dignitaries, including royal fathers, community leaders, friends, and well-wishers. Guests were entertained with traditional music and choice wines in his country home.
