Lord Chosen church founded by Pastor Lazarus Mouka announced yesterday that she is taking her annual international crusade which usually holds in his home town Mgbidi in Imo state, to Ijesha in Lagos state over fear of unknown Gunmen and general insecurity in the south East.
The church announced that for the first time in its history as a church, it will take its 2022 International Crusade tagged #Mgbidi22, The biggest and most organized gathering in the entire South-East that holds every January from Mgbidi, Imo state, to Ijesha, Lagos state over the unending sit at home order by IPOB and because of the insecurity in the east driven by unknown gun men.
This annual event held every January hosts over 500,000 visitors from across the globe turning the humble town of mgbidi into a mecca of sorts, the residents look forward to this event because it records a huge increase in revenue generation not only in Mgbidi but Imo state and the entire south East.
Some residents who spoke with the news Gazette Online expressed concern over the decision and lamented the huge revenue loss the insecurity in the south East has caused them, a hotel owner who spoke to our correspondent decried the loss he and other hotel owners have been recording because of insecurity he blames the government for allowing it to escalate while calling on the IPOB agitators to reconsider the sit at home order which he said has caused the south East region billions of naira every Monday including loss of lives and properties.
