The state PDP Governorship Candidate Chief Okey Ahiwe has vowed to consolidate on the infrastructural facilities provided by the Rebuilder of Abia State, Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu and make the welfare of Abia workers his topmost priority if elected Governor in next week Saturday Governorship election.
Chief Ahiwe who made the vow while interacting with newsmen in Umuahia, noted that good Governance involves process of continuous improvement and as such, his own focus will be more in the areas of human capital development and regular payment of Workers salaries and pensions which will in turn engender increased productivity as well as accelerated economic growth.
Chief Ahiwe who said he understands the secret of a happy and fulfilled workforce having successfully grown and managed private investment, promised to always identify with policies and programmes geared towards improving the welfare of the totality of Abians.
The PDP Governorship hopeful, commended the Administration of Dr Okezie Ikpeazu for responding positively to the demands of Abia workforce which led to the suspension if their 3days industrial action by the NLC and urged the Abia Workers to leverage on the good interpersonal relationships existing between him and Abia workers as he remains one of them.
Chief Ahiwe who also said that he derives fulfillment putting smiles on the faces of the people, assured that he will not derail on his vows to Abians and residents as his tenure will witness an era of socio-political and economic development of Abia.
He used the forum to call on Abians and residents of the state to troop out en mass next week Saturday to caste their votes for him and House of Assembly Candidates of the PDP for a greater and more prosperous Abia.
