A non governmental, non political Organization known as Abia Democratic Initiative (ADI) has called on the Independent National Electoral Commision to as a matter of urgency remove Prof Nnena Otti, as the returning officer for the Abia State governorship election, the group who stated this in Umuahia the Abia State capital, said Prof. Otti has displayed absolute bias in the handling of 2023 Abia State gubernatorial results.
They insited that with the revelations coming from Prof Mahmood the INEC Chairman that he did not call Prof Otti or instruct her to halt the collation, its has become very obvious that she is not serving the interest of the commission that hired her neither is she here to protect the will of the Abia masses but rather she is on a mission to serve a selfish purpose and that of a particular political interest which if actualized will gaslight the Abia political environment and may bring about uncontrollable crisis within the Abia political space.
They called on the INEC chairman to please save Abia from an avoidable danger by removing Prof. Nnenna Otti and replacing her with another returning officer who will not be biased but will rather do the right thing in line with the wishes of the Abia electorates.
