Foundation Flags Off Renovation of Community Schools In Abia

In a significant step towards improving rural education infrastructure, the Eze W. Ahanna Onyeukwu Foundation yesterday flagged off the renovation of a dilapidated classroom block at Nkwoba Community Primary School in Akpahia Okpuala, Ohuhu In Umuahia North LGA of Abia State.

The event which took place on the 18th of April, marked a new chapter for education in the community, the event had in attendance the Chairman of Umuahia North LGA, Chief Smart Iheoma, and the Special Adviser to the Abia State Governor on Education, Sir Ken Nwosu, who jointly performed the flag-off ceremony.

Speaking at the event, the chairman of the Foundation, Prince Collins Ahanna Onyeukwu, emphasized the foundation’s commitment to revamping the school block to modern standards ahead of the upcoming academic session. “With God’s grace and guidance, our mandate is to deliver a fully renovated, conducive learning environment in time for the new education session,” Prince Onyeukwu stated.

The Foundation also reaffirmed its pledge to continue supporting both teaching staff and pupils, not just through infrastructure, but with ongoing resources and initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of education in the community.

School staff, community members, and other stakeholders expressed gratitude for the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that will restore dignity and enhance the population and quality of education in the community.

This renovation project is part of the Eze W. Ahanna Onyeukwu Foundation’s broader mission to assist the government in its efforts to uplift educational and social standards in communities across Abia State.
