OBITUARY ANNOUNCEMENT
The family of Right Honourable Chief Andrew Ogbonna Chikwendu of Amaogwugwu Ohuhu, Umuahia, Abia State, and the Chief Andrew Ogbonna Chikwendu Foundation (CAOCF), with deep sorrow but total submission to the will of God, formally announce the transition to glory of our beloved President, Mr. Azubuike Mbanefo Chikwendu, who passed away on Sunday, 5th October 2025, in Umuahia, following a brief illness.
Fondly known as “Teenage Millionaire” or “Don Tee”, Azubuike lived an honourable and impactful life, one marked vision, passion, and inspiring exploits that touched many lives across communities.
Every year, through the Foundation, we have mobilized communities for the Annual Walk4Fun Walkathon, a celebration of inclusion, collaboration, unity, and health.
In honour of our departed President, the 2025 edition of the Annual Walk4Fun Walkathon, traditionally held on the 30th of December, has been cancelled.
In its place, the remains of our beloved brother and President will be laid to rest on Tuesday, 30th December 2025, at his home in Amaogwugwu Ohuhu, Umuahia, Abia State.
We request your prayers, support, and kind wishes as the family and Foundation go through this period of mourning, trusting God for grace to celebrate a life well lived and to accord him a befitting burial on the date stated above.
May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
