Former Chairman of the APC in Umuahia North and CEO of SLOAK Paints Ltd, Chief Sam Akagu, has congratulated all party members who emerged as Ward and LGA Executives in the just-concluded APC Congress in Umuahia North.
Chief Akagu described the congress as peaceful, well-organized, and a clear demonstration of the renewed unity within the party. He commended party faithful for their maturity, discipline, and commitment to strengthening the APC at the grassroots.
He particularly thanked the leaders of the party for their collective and individual sacrifices in ensuring the unity presently enjoyed in Umuahia North, a feat he noted had eluded the party since its formation in the state. According to him, the spirit of compromise, understanding, and genuine reconciliation among stakeholders made the success of the congress possible.
Chief Akagu expressed profound appreciation to Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu for his resilience, steadfastness, and sincere efforts toward fostering unity within the party and ensuring the smooth conduct of the congresses across the state. He noted that true leadership is tested in moments of division, and the Deputy Speaker rose to the occasion.
He also acknowledged the immense contributions of party leaders in Umuahia North, including Rt. Hon. Stanley Ohajuruka, Chief Charles Ogbonna, and other stakeholders who made personal sacrifices to ensure that the party speaks with one voice.
Furthermore, he extended special recognition to His Excellency Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, Hon. Nkeiru Onyejeocha,Hon.Emeka Atuma, Sen. Adighije, Chief Henry Ikoh, and other leaders whose commitment and support helped reposition the APC as a united and formidable political force.
Chief Akagu urged the newly elected executives to remain focused, inclusive, and committed to consolidating the gains of unity, emphasizing that a strong grassroots structure remains the foundation for future electoral success.
He concluded stating that with the current level of cooperation and renewed harmony, Abia APC is poised for greater victories ahead.
