In a chat with newsmen, he regretted the lack of basic infrastructure in most rural communities which he said is not particular to Abia state or Nigeria but to Africa as a continent and it requires consistent and committed policy approach to tackle.
On why he decided to build a mini stadium, in his community, Chief Ofoegbu said, sports is the biggest instrument for youth and talent development, he stated that he had engaged Ofeme youths in football tournaments and has brought foreign scouts with the game played in very bad turfs which have limited the performance of the footballers and that was what pushed him into developing the mini stadium which he said must be completed on or before December, he assured that all the projects he is handling at the moment will be completed on or before the end of the year.
He thanked Chief Obi Aguocha, and the leadership of Ohuhu Welfare Union for their visionary leadership in Ohuhu and for showing interest in the welfare and development of not only Ofeme but Ohuhu in general.
