Zambia 🇿🇲 Women’s team squad for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 has been released by coach Bruce Mwape.
Barbara Banda, Grace Chanda, Ireen Lungu, and Mary Mulenga headline a 23-woman official squad for the showpiece in Australia and New Zealand.
3 players from the local league are also named on the standby list for Chepolopolo.
Mwape’s WAFCON 2022 Bronze winners are currently camping in Germany and will play their final friendly match against the German team on 7 July before departing for Hamilton New Zealand.
They’ll be hoping the series of friendly matches played recently has put them in good shape to compete against Group C opponents Spain, Costa Rica, and Japan.
Zambia will use Korikori Park as their Team Base Camp with the luxurious Novotel Tainui Hotel accommodating them.
