It is no coincidence that great and creative leaders are born in August.
Across the world, most world leaders whose leadership impacts have occupied indelible places in history have their birthdays in August, leaders like Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Fidel Castro, Napoleon Bonaparte, Mother Theresa to mention just a few.
Those born in August are creative, ingenious, courageous, bold, daring and are naturally talented in leadership.
God Almighty in his infinite wisdom of creation and implicit orderliness of elements of creation, including weather calendar, favored the month of August as a month that brings forth sunshine in the midst of two rainy months of July and September, hence we have August break.
It is also not accidental that women find August as the most convenient period to embark on unity meetings and developmental programs in their various communities in the name of August meetings.
A very important and unexpected visitor is referred to as “August Visitor” irrespective of the month of the year he/she visited.
Those born in the month of August are under divine convenant to fulfil special destinies by the special grace of God.
They transmit infectious happiness, no dull moments around them, they bring sunshine in a rather dark environment, they are developmental agents, Very compassionate, they are destiny helpers, they are proud people in the midst of service oriented humility and most often people mistake their self confidence as arrogance.
Those who have come in contact with Prof Uche Ikonne, can testify to the existence of all these great qualities of an August born around him.
The 15th day of August stands out as a very remarkable date in the life of this compassionate, caring and result oriented leader with an embodiment of the typical inherent characteristics of August creation.
As a Vice Chancellor Prof. Ikonne didn’t consider himself too big to serve his local church at Umuahia as a pastor’s warden, even till date as a Governorship candidate, he still derives pleasure to still serve in that capacity and I am very sure if he becomes the governor he will still continue in that capacity to the glory of God
Prof. Ikonne is a man under God’s special grace, 15th of August is a special holy date in Catholic doctrinal calendar, the Feast of Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary is celebrated throughout the world on that date.
Prof Ikonne is a man of many firsts, a special creation of Almighty God. He has brought sunshine to his immediate family, to his sleepy village of Agburuke Nsulu, to Nsulu community and the entire Ukwa/Ngwa land.
God willing, once he gets elected as the governor and sworn in as the fifth democratically elected governor of Abia state brighter sunshine will illuminate the state.
This is a divine project and No man can battle with the Lord.
