Abia electorate and the Need To Elect, Experienced, Competent, And Steady Hand

As designed by nature everything that has a beginning must surely have an ending, since it is inviolable that come Friday, May 29th, 2023, the administration of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu will come to a halt and a new administration ushered in to take over from where he stopped, the expectation of every Abian is that Ikpeazu’s successor should be someone who has the requisite experience, willpower, and a good knowledge of his environment to move Abia forward economically, politically, and socially, and to also advance the infrastructure of the state beyond where Governor Okezie Ikpeazu will be leaving it.

The question bothering the mind of every Abian at the moment is who is that man that we can entrust with the mantle of Abia governorship come 2023.

If experience, competence, honesty, creativity, clarity of purpose, vision, character, and integrity are the standards needed of a would-be successor to Governor Ikpeazu, then the search stops with our erudite professor of Optometry, a former rector of Abia State Polytechnic, and the immediate past Vice-Chancellor Of Abia State University, Prof. Uche Eleazar Ikonne, this 66-year-old professor is an astute administrator, a first-degree technocrat, a steady hand, a stickler to excellent and quality leadership and a man of tested morality.

Being one with very practical knowledge of every part of the state and having lived and worked here all his life, he will guarantee equal development of all the three geopolitical zones that made up Abia and will ensure the unity and security of every zone in the state.

If elected his leadership will offer the state an opportunity for economic growth and social development by creating a conducive environment for investments.

Prof. Ikonne can rightly be described as a man at peace with his environment, a man from a humble background who understands and feels the pain of the poor, a man with a sound academic background, a man who rides on the same road with us, buys from the same market with us, drinks same water with us, his children and family are in the same school with ours, a man who gives respect and attention to men, women, the disabled, the less privileged and even children, a man who has what it takes to develop Abia, a man with a track record of honesty and humility, a jolly good fellow who accommodates all not minding your political, tribal or political affiliation, a man who deals on issues and not personalities, a man whose identity is not in doubt, a man who will not hunt you or bear any form of malice against you just because you belong to a different political school of thought, a peaceful man who loves all, a man of Justice devoid of any atom of arrogance, a man whose mission in the Abia government house will be about development, development and development.

Let each and every well-meaning Abian who loves and cherishes the development of Abia across all sectors shout out in one voice……Uche Ndi Abia Mee’ Ka Ala Juo Oyi
