Information reaching the News Gazette Online suggests that members of the Abia State House of Assembly that attempted to impeach the deputy speaker Rt. Hon. Francis Uchendu and the majority leader Hon. Solomon Akpulonu have at the moment regrouped at a hotel in UYO, in a secret plot to complete the impeachment process as soon as the house reconvenes.
Recall that the speaker Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji had to shut down the house in order to stop the impeachment of the two principal officers of the house which would have led to a crisis if not for the quick intervention of the Speaker.
The News Gazette Online is at this moment monitoring the details of the meeting and will make it public shortly including the names of all the house members who are in attendance.
